why won't my washer complete a cycle
The reason a washer wont move to the next cycle depends on the kind of washer you have. If you have no meter then the lid switch can be bypassed to see if it is the problem.
A top-load washer wont advance to the drain and spin cycle if a broken lid switch is making the timer think the washer lid is open.
. A washing machine that wont finish the cycle could also have a broken timer or failed water-level pressure switch. Remember to unplug the washer before accessing and checking the lid switch. With the lid switch bypassed you can see if the washer will drain and spin.
The idea is to remove both of the wires from the lid switch and join jump them together with a small wire.
